A member asked:

Can ms cause headaches? i get a lot of painful headaches, different to regular headaches, but my neurologist says ms doesnt cause headaches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, MS does NOT CAUSE headaches per se, but if you have MS, you will have twice the incidence of migraine in general, and plaques in certain areas of the brainstem can quadruple the incidence of migraine. Have your doctor consider preventative migraine medications. Also, would hope you are taking a potent disease modifying item for MS.
