A member asked:

What can be prescribed if you have low acid in your stomach but are having silent gerd issues? prevacid made me feel like my whole stomach was burning/gave more issues vs helping. also, tums, mylanta don't seem to help either?

Your statement is not clear (low acid in stomach) and I am not sure you truly have GERD (silent GERD issues). You do not need antacid medication(s) if stomach acid is low. If you have confirmed GERD, have you tried antireflux measures: raise the head of your bed with 2 bricks, do not lay down within 2 hours after meal and avoid the foods which aggravate the symptoms.
