It may be related or unrelated to a cardiac condition. More information would be helpful, but please see your PCP. If you have a history of GERD, discuss a nighttime PPI with your doctor. For shortness of breath, recurrence of chest pain, you should be seen soon. A virtual consultation is also available with HTMG online. Watch for lightheadedness, dizziness and worsening symptoms.

If it lasted only "seconds", and you have no similar symptoms with strenuous activity, it is probably not cardiac in origin. However, if it recurs, it would be best to discuss this with your doctor with as good a description of the pain including location, radiation if any and associated sweating or shortness of breath.
