Mom had left lower lung lobectomy on 6/3. chest tube removed on 6/4. serosangeous drainage x 6b days. no sob or fever. how long will the drainage last? is it dangerous?

If the drainage is not pus or mostly blood and drainage is decreasing every day, no sign and symptoms of infection, it is ok. Please see the surgeon in few days according to their instructions. Wish your mother a speedy recovery. Hope it helps.

Post operative drainage varies, but after the first 48 hours should decrease daily. If there is a sudden increase, re Image and surgical consult recommended. Monitor vital signs and oxygen requirement.
