Everytime i go out into the sun, i come back inside with a swollen face and cheeks, bright red, this is far different from sunburn but has happened before when i have been on holiday in foreign countries, not surewhether it is to do with my skin type?

this could be a form of allergy to certain wavelengths from the sun, called solar urticaria. Suggest you visit your dermatologist for further eval and poss rx.
