You do need to have a detailed conference with an experienced neurologist. The increased stroke risk occurs in those females with classical migraine, who smoke, and take birth control pills; i.e., ALL together, in a younger age group. If your "ocular migraines" are frequent and troubling, why not take a preventative agent to break up the pattern. Do you need a second opinion?
