A member asked:

Can gerd cause gnawing/burning pain right below the sternum (soft spot right below sternum) but not up higher?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Definitely. This area is very close to where the esophagus connects to the stomach, and with severe reflux disease, you can have pain anywhere from the stomach to your mouth.
