Likely reflux: If the discomfort has been going on for a while and only occurs at night or when laying down, it is likely gerd (heartburn); however, if it is new or also occurs with activity it could be related to ischemic heart disease. To be safe you should see a doctor.

GI... or not: Commonly would be hiatal hernia/ reflux of stomach contents into esophagus. Could also be cardiac (don't know your age, sex, family history, risk factors, type of pain, duration, etc), less likely other sinister problems. Ongoing, regular symptoms and/or new symptom- see your doc.
