Wheezing and other airway problems are only dangerous if they are left untreated and result in decreased oxygen levels. There are many safe in pregnancy allergy medications and wheezing treatments available. Check with your OB to come up with a safe plan to treat these issues during your pregnancy.

Avoid smoke and allergens such as dust, mold, pet dander and birds during your pregnancy. Control allergic asthma and develop an asthma action plan with your PCP or online with HTMG. Follow up with your OB regularly, and discuss the use of topical medications such as nasal steroids and nasal saline to keep symptoms well controlled.
