A member asked:

If you pull a muscle on your right side, can it show up on a holter monitor? right when i pulled a muscle from turning the wrong way, my holter showed an arrhythmia. could the pain or anxiety from the pulled muscle cause an arrhythmia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You don't specify what kind of arrhythmia occurred. Acute pain can increase the heart rate causing simple sinus tachycardia, but theoretically acute pain can cause release of enough adrenalin to cause other arrhythmias as well, although it's uncommon.
