My lower leg was hit by a softball, quick knot came up. i iced it and couple days later began rolling a pad over the knot. it went down but now my ankle is swollen. a little discomfort but no real pain?

It is possible that some of the fluid from the hematoma in the lower leg gravitated to the ankle. You may watch and wait. if you get pain or limitation of movement, seeing a doctor would be prudent. Wish you good health!
