I popped a cyst(?) just next to my ear hole, and i felt the distinct feeling of the pop and puss releasing. but no opening on skin. is it possible for it to pop deeper and if so, is it dangerous?

I don't think you had an abcess. This may have been an inclusion cyst which has no pus unless it's infected. Pus will only drain above through an opening. See a physician or surgeon if the lump is still present or if there's redness and tenderness.
