20 year old with a benign 10 cm ovarian cystadenoma-had a partial resection/after torsion- aware it may return and need fully resected. is there any chance it could change to cancerous? will hx of this benign tumor alone, increase the risk ovar. ca?

This is a benign tumor that rarely morphs into the cancerous form of cystadenosarcoma. However, it can grow to a large enough size to twist (torsion) and cut off its' blood supply producing acute emergent pain and need for surgery..
