I think I answered your question before. A straight line on oximeter means that the device does not pick up the finger pulse appropriately and that also explains why the pulse rate varies a lot. Confirm correct pulse rate by checking the pulse on the side of the neck or the wrist. Count the pulse for 1 minute straight or count for 30 seconds then times 2. I guess you need a new oximeter.
