The significance or cause of a low MPV(mean platelet volume) depends on whether the patient has a high or low platelet count. Associated low platelet count indicates a bone marrow problem while an concomitant high platelet count can be due to inflammation or infection. Liver enzymes in Gilbert's syndrome are normal. High LDH is seen in liver disease as well as many other conditions.

Gilbert syndrome people are pretty healthy except for some discoloration from excess bilirubin. Rh negative blood will be an issue when pregnancy is contemplated and the other levels are unremarkable in a growing adolescent. In general. lab tests are done for maintenance, to see if some body system is deteriorating, or to help diagnose symptoms suggestive of a disease. Best wishes
