A member asked:

Is it okay to have random not constant chest pain if you've had an ablation in the last 3 months? and have afib?

I would be hard pressed to attribute recurrent chest pains to an ablation procedure. We would need a description of your chest pains in order to make a differential diagnosis and advise you. They may well be of noncardiac origin. Allow your cardiologist to evaluate and advise you about your chest pains.

Your chest pain may be unrelated to the ablation. At your age and with your gender, it is unlikely that "random" chest pain is cardiac in origin. Please arrange to see your regular doctor who will decide the best approach to help you with this problem. If you have had a recurrence of atrial fibrillation after the ablation, you need to talk to the electrophysiologist also.
