Wife is having some pain under her ribs and above the belly button the pain eases up when layin down , ultra sound yesterday said everything looked ok, , getting a hida scan next week?

If she's experiencing persistent upper abdominal pain and especially if there's associated tenderness or vomiting I recommend bringing her to the emergency room where prompt care,testing and access to consultants such as abdominal surgeon or,gastroenterologist are available. Pancreatitis, peptic ulceration, acute gastritis are possibilities. U/S apparently didn't show gall stones.
