If the radius is healed well after the cast you should start exercise to strengthen the involved wrist and forearm. Please check with your orthopedist for instructions. After that you can resume gym exercise but at a slow pace then gradually moving up to normal pace.

In general, you can begin light strengthening after 6-8 weeks depending on radiographic healing. Your orthopedist can guide you. In the interim, you can always do core and lower extremity strengthening.
