Increasing fiber in your diet does not lead to softer poops, it leads to more formed poops that will move more easily through your intestines without the irritation that liquidy poops can cause. The fiber will keep your intestines healthier as it will allow the lining to heal and be able to absorb more nutrients. You must drink lots of water, though- 2.5 liters for a healthy adult female.
