May be : If you think increasing the dosage will give you more benefits , then it's worth it. Side effects are more prominent the first few weeks, usually not very serious . Titrate up slowly with your doctor's supervision, don't do it by yourself. Your doctor may prefer to add another medication rather than increase your lexapro (escitalopram).
