A member asked:

Does melanoma usually take many years to develop after sun damage? or can it take just a couple weeks to develop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually many years. Most melanomas are preceded by a mole. Watch your moles. If the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor. Wish you good health!
