In a pathology report for gerd, will they be able to find inflammation weeks prior? i had to take ppi's, and felt better when edg was done. will they still be able to see inflammation or has it healed too quickly already?

yes. Inflammation in the stomach take many weeks to months to heal.

The shutting off of gastric acid by ppi's for weeks can cause certain esophageal changes of inflammation(esophagitis) to resolve.

Is long term ppi safe? Decades? I am 29, and have been on ppi for atleast 6-7 years. Had linx surgery but still have gerd. I take dexilant 60mg daily. Safe rest of my life? Better medicine in the pipeline? I dont wanna do surgery again if not needed?
How long on PPis does it take to heal from GERD & LPR? I am on a liquid and pure diet because I feel like solid foods get caught/stick in my throat.
