It makes no difference. Probiotics are just safe germ colonies you can take that can grow in numbers after ingestion and crowd out other germs that may be harmful. Their use can certainly help anyone recently on an antibiotic that can kill off safe germs. Otherwise their use is more fad than a needed supplement.

Evidence for the usefulness of probiotics is lacking. You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
