A member asked:

Can i have a gastrointestinal infection for 7 weeks without a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What do you mean by infection? Everyone has germs and yeast in their GI tract. We generally only consider it an infection if symptoms are present. Some people can have an otherwise "bad' germ that pass through their system for weeks or months at a time without ever causing symptoms.
