I had moderate-severe pain to my left lower back for quite a few hours earlier today. i bought biofreeze and have used that aong with ibuprofen. the back pain seems to have gone away completely. now i am having sharp pain to r lower ribs suddenly?

Do you think you strained your back to account for the pain which ibuprofen apparently relieved? If so,and the lower rib pains are also in the back,these pains may be part of the initial back strain. However be on the lookout for urinary symptoms (stone,infection),rash or lung symptoms and see a physician as needed. In the meantime, rest&take ibuprofen.
