A member asked:

I used monistat yesterday, today i have increased egg white discharge with blood streaks. is this normal? i'm on the end of my cycle, so the egg white discharge is not from ovulation?

Monistat is an antifungal used for vaginal yeast infections. Vaginal yeast infections are typically characterized by white discharge. The blood streaks may be due to the irritation that the yeast infection causes in the vagina or even from the insertion of the medication into the vagina. Your infection should be gone within a few days if using the monistat properly.
