Too many steroid injections could damage a joint, but orthopedic surgeons are keenly aware of this. Hyaluronic acid injections are often extremely successful for certain knee problems. Locking of the joint is NOT due to the injection, and a newer problem such as chondromalacia or instability, should be considered. Return to your orthopedist.
