As soon as you feel like it. The wound area should have some cover in 24-hours. If you get bleeding or pain, then avoid the offending food.

After extractions when there is a hole in your jaw filled with a blood clot, it is best to eat soft foods only, nothing crunchy or grainy that could get stuck in the wound.
