A member asked:

Are recreational drugs extra bad for you if on accutane? clearly they are always bad for one's health?

The liver is the bodies recycling center. It has elaborate chemical pathways to break down drugs into non-toxic components before they are excreted in bile. It also builds specialized body proteins. Accutane has a tendency to injure the liver cells in some patients. If you use any drug or alcohol that competes with/overloads the chemical disposal pathways you increase damage risk.
