Why is accutane so bad for babies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Birth defects: There have been serious birth defects because the mother took this med while pregnant. There is no problem if the father took it. After she stops the med the woman is no longer at risk. High doses of vitamin a have the same risk. This occurs from pills but not from food.
