Is isotretinoin (accutane) as bad as they say? why?

'Bad' can mean good: This is a rough medication. You'll experience some real discomfort. You can't go out and get drunk, and you'll have to promise not to get pregnant. It will also clear you acne -- and if it's severe enough to require isotretinoin, it's severe enough to keep you from getting the job you want. It's not for the faint-hearted. But if you're offered it, consider taking it. It's your choice.
