Will start taking skelaxin for muscle spasms. currently weaning off alprazolam 1mg. i also take sertraline 1mg, doxycycline 200 mg(rosacea type 2) and fioricet and bentyl only as needed. any interactions with the skelaxin?

You should be off Alprazolam and Fioricet when taking Skelaxin.

If skelaxin is taken with alprazolam or Fioricet you will enhance the sedative effects of both. You should not take any alprazolam of fioricet while taking skelaxin. Furthermore Skelaxin like most muscle relaxants (except baclofen and dantrolene) should not be used more than 2-3 weeks continuously
