I may have recently been exposed to chlamydia. im a female; exposed partner is male. im currently taking augmentin twice daily (875mg amoxicillin / 125mg k clav, 20 tablets) for unrelated reasons. will the augmentin treat chlamydia, if i have it?

Amoxicillin has modest activity against chlamydia -- not reliable for cure, but probably would prevent infection if exposed while taking it. But don't rely on it: if defintiely exposed (i.e. your partner has a positive test), you should be treated with azithromycin or doxycycline. If not certain about exposure, play it safe and get tested for chlamydia 1-2 weeks after finishing amox/clav.
