My daughter has had upper left side under her rib pain for five days. with diarrhea . today she spiked a fever and i took her to the doctor they said her platelet count was 116 and that she has a virus. should i get a second opinion?

What you described as symptoms above could be due to a virus like the doctor said; however if she is not getting better in the next two days or she starts getting worse you should seek a second opinion urgently. The symptom may also be due to COVID 19 so I would suggest precaution to reduce the chances of spreading it in the household. It is important to follow up with your doctor to repeat CBC.
