I had an emg and my dr. did not explain what the numbers mean. axillary neuropathy with denervation to the deltoid. what does 3+ fibrillation and +1 reduced recruitment mean? also, .8 on amp wheras other side was 7.6? severity of injury??

Appears that you damaged your axillary nerve on one side. This affects the deltoid muscle and would be correlated with weakness and muscular atrophy. Discuss the results with your doctor and obtain advice regarding therapeutic intervention.

By "Dr." do you mean the doctor who did the EMG/NCS or the doctor who referred you to the doctor who did the EMG/NCS? Either way, call the EMG doc and ask him/her to explain the results to you. You have a right to an answer explained to you in terms you can understand. Ask nicely. Doctors have fragile egos, and they're feeling really put upon these days.
