Difficult to say: Normal muscle should not be active at rest so spontaneous activity should not be present. That said, a diagnosis depends on what muscle was being tested, the kind of spontaneous activity seen, and the symptoms. Without more information it is similar to asking one to guess the design of a large jigsaw puzzle from looking at a couple pieces. Discuss the full report with the doctor that ordered it.
