Above the eye, behind the eyebrow there is a sinus cavity. When it fills with fluid and the pressure increases, it can become painful and throbbing as well as leading to nasal congestion. Try warm nasal saline washes twice a day and a decongestant to help drain the area. Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen can reduce the pain. If infected, you may need prescription antibiotics.
