There is a subtle mildly echogenic region in the right lobe the liver measuring 3.9 x 1.5 x 2.1 cm which could represent an area of focal fatty inltration. it does not of the appearance of a hemangioma. there is no liver surface nodularity. meaning?

This could be the beginning of fatty liver-which is an inflammatory process. Weight loss definitely helps with this so, if you are overweight, losing weight is warranted. You should see a liver specialist to help with the diagnosis and treatment-to make sure you do everything possible to avoid further liver injury. Avoid alcohol and limit acetaminophen dose to 2 grams daily at most. Good luck!!
