A member asked:

Can i take two heartburn medications in one 24 hour period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends upon the medication you're taking. If it's nonprescription it'll be weaker than the prescription strength. In this case you could double up on the dose for a short period. Also avoid spicy, oily foods, caffeine, alcohol, aspirin& anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen or naproxen. Consult a gastroenterologist as needed.
