Probably: If you are failing the dilations and having constant trouble, you probably are a candidate for a nissen procedure. Talk to your physician.

Not yet: The findings you describe warrant getting an esophageal manometery test to see how well the esophagus functions. If the schatzki ring is the cause of your problem then a fundollication may make it worse. First step would be the manometery. Good luck.
