A 49-year-old female asked:
Are the rapid covid tests accurate? can the covid tests pick up the variants that are in the news now? what is the incubation period for covid? would you know by day 8 of possible exposure?

Once infected with Covid-19, symptoms can begin anywhere from day 3 to day 8. Look for fever, dry cough, muscle aches. Many people will have no symptoms. If you have been exposed in close proximity to someone who had covid 19, self isolate for 14 days to prevent spread and get tested. see a Dr for worsening difficulty breathing, persistent chest pain, blue lips/nails or confusion/lethargy.
