You likely had catheter related superficial phlebitis. The inflammation should resolved after one week but it persists. See your doctor if possible and apply warm compress over that site several times a day in the mean time.

Could be a small hematoma from the catheter placement . If iv was on the radial side of the wrist could be trauma to the radial sensory nerve hence the tingling. If the area is red. and warm could be a cellulitis. If does not resolve seek an evaluation
