A member asked:

Carpal tunnel injection.tips of index and ring finger still mostly numb 5 days after fluoroscope guided injection. prior to the injection symptoms were mostly intermittent. is this normal, does it still need more time and if not can/ how is it fixed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Successful treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome may be challenging and both injections and decompressive surgeries may have limited success. Would use a nocturnal wrist splint, OTC NSAID, vitamin B-6 supplement, and perhaps hand therapy. Do contact your doctor and discuss your status.
