3 weeks ago i threw my trash out and touched the garbage bin. a couple hours later, i put my hands in my mouth (i always wash my hands after handling trash dont know why i forgot this time.) dont know if animals were there. did i contract rabies?

No, you did not. Transmission of rabies virus generally requires a bite by a rabid animal such as bats, raccoon, etc.

My question is if some rabid animal drops his saliva on ground or road . The same saliva comes in contact with an object and I touched that object. Can it cause rabies if I have eaten with unwashed hands . Should I take anti rabies vaccine ?
