Calcified node: Usually calcification in hilum on chest xray represent a calcified lymph node related to old non active infection such as histoplasmosis or tuberculosis. This sometimes is associated with calcified nodule in the same lung, particularly tb. Other less common causes are in patients with lymphoma who have been treated successfully. Usually there is nothing to be concerned about.
