Metastatic breast ca confirmed with medications as described may also represent metastasis to bone in addition to the (confirmed ?) "bulging discs". An epidural may reduce back pain for short amounts of time and provide uninterrupted sleep. Pain from ruptured discs will ultimately resolve, but management of the underlying potential metastatic ca will be a constant challenge.

Having palliative care involved, if available, should help with addressing her symptoms better. Depending on the actual source for her pain palliative radiation may help as well. Her symptoms will have to be better controlled prior to getting the vaccine and timing should be discussed directly with her oncologist.
