Antihistamines do not decrease antibodies-they decrease the amount of histamine which causes allergic symptoms. Taking Claritin will not decrease your immune response if you get sick-but, it will allow you to feel better during your allergy season. Best of luck to you!!

Not aware of any OTC or prescription anti-histamine that has even immunomodulator effect, and the OTC Claritin is safe and effective for allergic rhinitis/ sinusitis. No need to worry about your immune system.
