There are a lot of reasons for ear pain as you describe. Ear pain as you describe could be coming from the jaw joint or jaw muscles. I could be an ear infection, although that would likely be more constant. You would also have some hearing issues, most likely. Best to have this evaluated by an ENT specialist you can do an exam and help you sort this out.
