Most prescriptions are taking seconds only as they are electronically sent, sometimes they are not sent in real time, meaning that the doc sends them later in the day when completing documentation. Pharmacies also may take some time in picking and preparing them. Other times the provider forgets to send them or changes their mind after getting information from other sources.

Your prescription from a HealthTap consult is only sent to your pharmacy when the doctor doing the consult completes their note. Once the note is complete, the prescription is electronically sent to your pharmacy. You can see the completed note-once you see the note is done, call your pharmacy to be sure they received the prescription. Give the doctor some time to finish their note. Good luck!
