A member asked:

I had a johnson and johnson covid-19 vaccination on friday 4/2/21 and minor symptoms of fatigue and headaches, starting yesterday i am having muscular shoulder pain and under armpit pain to where i cant lift my arm. coughing causes severe pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depending on the degree of needle penetration and potential injury to underlying muscle, as well as the effect of vigorous production of antibodies in response to the J&J vaccine, pain will occur and may last for a week or so. This will subside shortly, but if it persists, see your physician for an exam and treatment.
